In the context of climate change adaptation, crop modeling is a strategic approach to understand, predict and decide future cultivated plants or future plan cultivation strategies. To be effective, modeling must take into account different data sources produced in high-throughput phenotyping or genotyping experiments. The use of semantic resources (ontologies, thesaurus, etc.) is crucial to share and reuse data. Standards exist but are not complete to explain plant adaptation to climatic change. But standards remain difficult to change, which constitutes a significant obstacle for research teams. The objective of this internship is to develop controlled management of the evolution of semantic resources while maintaining a link with existing standards. Thus, the semantic resources of the domain can be enriched. It will be necessary to design and develop a solution offering a user-friendly strategy and tools for research teams.
The intern will benefit from a rich and dynamic interdisciplinary scientific environment supported by several international projects. This internship is supported by #Digitag (digital agriculture institute) and may be followed by a contract.
